KARATE HELPS KEEPS KIDS SAFE
Arizona Family Karate Academy (AFKA), in cooperation with Power Chrysler Jeep Dodge (I-17 and Bell Road), held a “Keeping Kids Safe Project” on Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22. This project was directed at children and included such events as a digital fingerprint and photo program, with such participants such as Phoenix firefighters, the Arizona Humane Society, local schools as well as AFKA, all working together to raise community awareness about how to keep children safe.
In keeping with the “Keeping Kids Safe Project,” AFKA also held a seminar at the school on August 29, showing kids how they can keep themselves safe from danger by making themselves aware of their surroundings, and providing adequate defense against threats from others.
This seminar was very well received, and the participants found it very informative and beneficial. Participants were also offered a discounted membership to the school for continuing education in the martial arts.
