BACK TO SCHOOL – BULLY FREE!

On August 29, the Arizona Family Karate Academy (“AFKA”) held a “Bully Buster” seminar for children, in order to demonstrate methods of defending and defusing potential situations involving bullies. Participants were taught how to “Prevent, Prepare and Protect” themselves against abuse from other children.

The basic lesson taught was that “the highest goal of the martial artist is to stop a fight before it starts”. The students practiced various methods of self defense during the seminar, and afterward had a pizza party to celebrate the completion of their training. Interested students had the option of continuing their education by enrolling for membership at the school at introductory rates.

AFKA is committed to community awareness, working in tandem with our local schools and through community events, in order to promote a safe environment for our children.
